Projects - Private Sector
Alliance Events has been working with the private sector for many years. Annual general meetings, conferences, galas, openning ceremonies, and many other time sensitive events are all treated with the same level of commitment and attention to detail.
Please have a look at some of our past projects below, to gain an appreciation for the diversity of events we have experience developing and managing.
Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. Canadian Pacific Holiday Trains Program

The two Holiday Trains travel across Canada and the U.S. each year throughout the month of December.
Stopping at approximately 130 different locations, the Holiday Trains entertain several hundred thousand people every year while collecting much needed food and donations in the process. As of 2008 the Holiday Train program has collected an estimated three million dollars and 684 tons of food for local food banks.
Alliance Events coordinated several components including:

- Event scheduling
- Marketing materials development management
- Communications and much more.

Suncor & Acciona Ripley Wind Power Project

The Ripley Wind Power Project took place in and around the town of Ripley Ontario, where Suncor and Acciona assembled thirty eight 2MW Enercon Wind Turbines on the shores of Lake Huron.
A two day event, with day one, the commissioning event with representatives from local provincial and federal government, Suncor & Acciona spokespeople and local stakeholders, the event included a luncheon, entertainment, speeches, tours, demonstrations. Day two, the community event, school and community tours, entertainment, rides, kids area and dinner for 1100 local residents.
A outdoor event, Alliance Events coordinated several components including:
- Local logistics
- Representatives coordination & lodging
- Lunch and dinner coordination
- Entertainment, stage and AV coordination
- Communications and more

Canada Post/Canadian Pacific Railway Mail, Rail, Retail Exhibit

The Mail, Rail, Retail Exhibit first took place at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau and the traveled across Canada to the Vancouver Museum.
A one day opening ceremonies with guest speakers and an evening gala launched this year long exhibit. The exhibit demonstrated the successful relationship between mail, railway, and retail service for the benefit and connectivity of Canadians across the country.
